Healing Trauma: IPNB Clinical Strategies for Applying the 9 Domains of Integration toward Deep Therapeutic Growth
While I integrate a variety of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to uniquely support each person's journey, I’d like to highlight four approaches that are particularly foundational to my work
Present Moment Awareness – gently guides us out of habitual thinking and into direct, embodied experience. By learning to notice sensations, emotions, and thoughts as they arise—without judgment—we create space for nervous system regulation, clarity, and deeper connection with ourselves and our Higher Power. From this grounded place, new choices and healing become possible.
Psychoeducation - Understanding how the brain and body respond to stress and trauma can be a powerful tool for healing. Psychoeducation helps make sense of your experiences, giving you the knowledge to recognize patterns and develop new ways of being. By learning how your nervous system, emotions, and thoughts interact, you gain more clarity, self-compassion, and the ability to make informed choices that support your well-being and desires.
Honoring Your Unique Story – Your experiences did not happen in a vacuum. Together, we explore your story with curiosity and compassion—how past experiences, relationships, faith, and seasons of life have shaped your patterns, strengths, and longings. As your story is gently understood and integrated, many people experience increased self-trust, coherence, and hope to move with greater freedom and choice.
Cultivating Regulating and Resourced States - Rather than focusing only on thoughts or behaviors, we pay attention to inner states such as safety, connection, overwhelm, joy, or calm. By learning to recognize, access, and gently shift these states, you experience more capacity, flexibility, and choice in the embodied experience of daily life.
My hope is that through our work together you will come to remember:
Often, the most meaningful moments in therapy are not in the fixing, but in the fullness of presence together.
